GMC Jimmy,
Here is my problem. Something is draining my battery. About a month ago I boosted my batery because it was dead. The sucurity light came on. I was told that it was the security system that was draining the batery. The wires were fritghed and they were fixed. It worked for about two weeks no problem. Now I am having the problem again. I boost the batery it works for about two to three days and poof have to boost the batery again. Now this time the security light is not on, so I don't know if its that problem again or just that the battery needs to be replaced. the battery has been boosted at least 10 times. Is it the battery or is it something else.
a bad battery will kill an alternator, and a bad alternator will kill a new battery. have the alternator checked before replacing the battery
